Job Description
Card Services Finance – Finance Analytics is seeking a motivated individual for a Team Leader position. This group provides data segmentation, trend analysis, cash flow modeling and forecasting in support of the Value Matrix activity. Value Matrix seeks to establish profitability projections and ranking metrics � establishing expected values for each of the company�s varied new account investment opportunities. . The group works closely with business and finance units across the organization to gather, analyze and report this information.
- Greater than 3 years finance experience, 2 years in a team leadership position.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience with financial modeling; data query & analysis; database design and management. Knowledge of SAS, SQL, MS Access and OLAP tools.
- Technical support and tool functions require advanced knowledge of OLAP architecture, SQL, Visual Basic, MS Access, SAS tools, and complex query tools- Ability to manipulate data, strong background in statistics including time-series modeling and ability to express raw data in chart format for trending analysis.
- Excellent communication, strong knowledge of credit card industry an/or banking, attention to detail, English language proficiency, control focus, reconciliation and advanced Excel experience for all functions
Primary Responsibility:
- Keep team focused on meeting deliverables, developing new applications, resolving technical and data issues. Ensure cross-training and develop expertise within the team.
- Acquire data from original data sources at any required level of segmentation. Join that data with history files creating time series trends for each month of originations. Apply trending, graphics and (multiple option) forecasting techniques and recommend forecast; and in consultation with the Business and Business CFO incorporate expected outcomes as overlays (keeping these clearly identifiable from the data trends.)
- Develop and host cash flow and profitability models for each valued segment; receiving or developing external assumptions; providing rollup/rollout profitability views and key metrics at segmented, intermediate rollup and aggregate levels; producing five year impact of aggregate new account plan; producing reconcilements to prior values and walk across of key assumptions.
- Participate in review and approval of each update with Line of Business (LOB), Risk, and LOB Finance.
- Create and maintain a database of Value Matrix approved final results with sufficient detail to be able to produce alternative account plan aggregate P&Ls/metrics.
- Develop and release on a routine basis, trend analysis comparing to the various versions of approved final forecast results � for key observable variables.
- Produces ad hoc segment data and produce full profitability in support of various profitability strategies and requests � as a data segmentation and analysis center of expertise.
- Scope to include US Credit Card, Business Card, Consumer Finance; and eventually Canada and Europe
Skills:
- Attention to Details/Accuracy: diligent at reconciling and tying out data to secondary sources.
- Analytical, organizational and highly developed time management skills.
- Manages the process and effectively escalates issues in an appropriate time frame.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring completeness of process work papers and related documentation, ensuring adherence to procedures
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in English. With ability to communicate with internal and business peers.
- Ability to work closely with business partners both locally and globally
- Strong pc and keyboard skills covering Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Extremely high proficiency in MS Excel (ability to work on macros, V Look up, create charts, use formulae).
- Expertise in managing large tables of data via MS Access; Visual Basic, SAS tools.
- Knowledge of In$ight and Bacardi system (desirable).
- Able to understand financial statements pertaining to banking industry and banking products.
- Consistently looking for ways to applying process knowledge along with technology to enhance business capabilities within the organization,
- Continually drives for results and raises the bar on standards and deliverables.
- Goal oriented with an ability to develop and maintain personal targets
Academic:
- Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary (Intermediate)
OR
- Post graduate in Commerce,
Experience:
- Total work experience of 3 years of which at least 12 months have been in a financial analysis team leader role.
- Demonstrated SAS, or data query and analysis, experience.
- Accounting and banking industry experience – Preferred

Valid Passport with minimum 6 months validity
US B Visa ready candidates
